Randy Lee Vanover born June 15th, 1978 departed this life to begin a new on October 20, 2020. Randy was of a Pentecostal faith and spent his childhood in the Bruno Church of God. There were many members that was a great inspiration to him that he held dear to his heart even throughout adulthood.
Randy enjoyed family. He was a 1996 graduate of Man High School and went on to study marine welding in Houston, TX. Upon his return to Logan County, he was employed as an underground coal miner. He was often the joke teller of family get togethers. He liked to fish and hunt. He enjoyed Buffalo Bills with his son. He enjoyed four-wheeling with family and friends. Randy's son Lucas had stated his dad always told him; his biggest fear was losing his family.
Randy was preceded in death by his paternal great grandparents, Mont and Ella Vanover, his maternal great grandparents, Allen and Flora Whitt. Also, his loving grandparents, Cecil Roy and Gloria Sue Vanover, in which he was very close and now rejoicing together on heaven's streets. also preceded in death by an Aunt, Angela Gaye Vanover.
Those left to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 18 years Sabrina Stroud Vanover, a loving son, Lucas Ian Vanover 10 years old in which both shared a love for the football, a sweet little girl, Layla Grace Vanover 7 years old, in which they enjoyed sharing ice cream together in the middle of the night, a loving mother Patricia Sue Vanover White and a supportive loving step father Jackie Lee White (Jack) of 19 years in which we will always cherish our time together, he will be remembered and cherished by his mother- in- law Shelia and step father-in-law James Estep (Jimmy), also father-in-law Michael Stroud and step mother-in-law, Debra, and a host of aunts and uncles who will cherish the memories, Kathy(Kenny) Adkins, Celia(Frank) Adkins, Sherry(Dallas)Harvey, Michael(Debra)Vanover, Julie(David)Copley, David(Jennifer)Vanover. Randy grew up with a host of cousins, in which he remained close to throughout his life.
Graveside services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Monday, October 26, 2020 at the White/Vanover Cemetery at Bruno, with Pastor Roger Fry officiating.
A dinner will be held in his honor at his mother and father’s home at Bruno following the services.
Pallbearers will be Michael Vanover, Joshua Vanover, Caleb Adkins, Danny Baisden, Matthew Farley, Alex Crum.
Honorary Pallbearers will be David (Bo) Vanover, Kenny Adkins, Frank Adkins, Dallas Harvey, David Copley.
In lieu of flowers, the family is making a request, that donations be made to his mother Patricia and father Jack White, to provide the needs of Randy's children, Luke and Layla, as Randy would want.
