Zelpha Irene Williams, 87, of Logan, WV, went to her heavenly home on Sunday, January 4, 2026.
She was born July 24, 1938, in Logan, WV, to the late George and Ethel Baisden Evans.
Zelpha was a devoted Christian and lived for the Lord, her daughters, and her grandchildren. She was a member of Maryetta United Baptist Church for many years. To know her was to love her, and her presence on this earth will be greatly missed.
In addition to her parents, those welcoming her home include her brothers, Arthur “Chug” Evans, James “Big Jim” Evans, Charles Edwin “Boonie” Evans, and Ronald Gene “Stiney” Evans; and her sisters, Helen Evans Hensley, Thelma “Teense” Evans Nelson, Eloise “Weesie” Evans Hughes, and Audrey Evans Lane.
Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Karen (Pat) Bryant of Logan, WV, and Kelli Williams of Charleston, WV; her grandchildren, Morgan (Hayden) Lawson of Alexandria, VA, Austin Evans of Charleston, WV, and Bella Balentine of Charleston, WV; one brother, Brady “Tankie” Evans of Logan, WV. Additionally, Zelpha leaves behind many nieces and nephews along with a host of extended family and friends.
The family would like to give a heartfelt thank you to the staff at Logan Center where she called home for the last 3 years. Their acts of kindness and love for her will never be forgotten.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, January 10, 2026, at Evans Funeral Home & Cremation Services at Chapmanville, WV, with Pastor Lonnie Gore, Jr., officiating.
Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens at Godby. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. Saturday at the funeral home.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Evans Funeral Home & Cremation Services at Chapmanville, WV.
