William Thomas Sheppard, 80, of Logan, WV, departed this life on Wednesday, December 24, 2025, at Trinity Healthcare Services in Logan, WV.

He was born June 20, 1945, in Logan, WV, a son of the late John L. Sheppard and Jewel Mills Sheppard.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ethel Sheppard; one sister, Katherine Jones; and one nephew, Zachary Williams.

William had a love for music and sports. He was an avid football fan, and his enthusiasm for the game was evident in every way. He also had a love for animals. Above all, William was a devoted Christian and loved attending church whenever he was able. He leaves behind a legacy of unwavering kindness.

Those left to cherish his memory are three sisters, Connie (Earl) Sheppard, Robin Sheppard, and Jeanie Williams. Additionally, he leaves behind many nieces and nephews along with a host of extended family and friends.

To honor William’s wishes, his remains will be cremated, and there will be no services.
