William “Bill” Eplin, 56, of Logan, WV, departed this life on Wednesday, November 8, 2023, at Cabell Huntington Hospital at Huntington, WV.
Born August 15, 1967, at Logan, WV, a son of the late William W. Eplin and Mary Phyllis Belcher.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, John Lee Eplin; one sister, Betty Irene Eplin; his paternal grandparents; and his maternal grandparents, Sybil Ellis and John Lee Belcher.
Bill, as he was affectionately known, was an auto mechanic and heavy equipment operator. He loved riding motorcycles and watching Westerns. His love for the outdoors was evident in the way that he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. A family man, Bill was a wonderful father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend.
Those left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Melissa Eplin of Logan, WV; his son, Will (Halli) Eplin of Hurricane, WV; three grandchildren, Alyssa Ann Crum, Cali Reed Eplin, and William Ashton Eplin; one brother, Jerry Eplin of Whitman, WV; one sister, Sybil Jane (Carl) Withrow of St. Albans, WV; his special friends whom he loved dearly, Annette Bryant, Michael Hepler, Jimmy Abshire, and Lisa Abshire. Additionally, Bill leaves behind many nieces and nephews along with a host of extended family and friends.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, November 14, 2023, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Evans Funeral Home at Chapmanville, WV, with a funeral service at 7:00 p.m. with Pastor Scotty Dingess officiating.
