William Thomas "Bud" Adkins

William Thomas “Bud” Adkins 74 of Harts, WV passed away on Wednesday, April 21, 2021 at his residence.  He was born on April 2, 1947 at Harts, WV to the late Jinks Adkins and surviving Ruby Cook. He was raised by his great-grandparents, Tommy and Delphia Adkins.

William was a coal miner for 28 years starting in 1970 and retiring in 1998.  He was a member of the UMWA Local Union 1440.  He was also a member of the 14 mile Church of Christ.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Maxine; 3 Children, William Thomas Adkins II, Barbara Killen, and Linda Dingess; Step-son, James Workman; all of Harts, WV, Grandchildren, Brandon Killen and Justin Killen; Great-Grandson Braidence Killen; Special Lifelong Friend, Shorty Frye, and a host of family and friends.

Services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, April 25, 2021 at Evans Funeral Home and Cremation Services at Chapmanville, WV with Howard Farley officiating.  Burial will follow at the Adkins Frye Cemetery at Harts, WV.

Friends may call from 12:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. Sunday, April 25, 2021 at Evans Funeral Home and Cremation Services at Chapmanville, WV.

Pallbearers will be Brandon Killen, Justin Killen, Arnold Killen, James Workman, David Lambert, and Shawn Lambert.
