Willard “Bo” Dalton, 67, of Chapmanville, WV, departed this life on Monday, October 7, 2024, at St. Mary’s Medical Center at Huntington, WV.

He was born September 20, 1957, at Chapmanville, a son of the late Hillard and Theoria Hensley Dalton.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by seven brothers, Larry Dalton, Darrell Dalton, Matthew Dalton, Terry Dalton, Pete Dalton, Jessie “Boo” Dalton, and Bobby Dalton; his paternal grandparents, Pete and Bertha Dalton; and his maternal grandparents, Columbus and Lula Hensley.

Bo was a retired tree trimmer. He had a deep-rooted love for music, especially bluegrass. He was a very talented musician and loved playing the guitar and banjo. In his younger days, he enjoyed showing off his athletic skills by playing basketball. Bo was a family man, and he cherished his family, especially his nieces and nephews. He will long be remembered for his dedication to those he loved.

Those left to cherish his memory are two brothers, Teddy (Malinda) Dalton of Madison, WV, and Lucian Dalton of Chapmanville, WV; one sister-in-law, Christie Dalton of Chapmanville, WV; his nieces and nephews, Blake (Malloree) Dalton, Andrew Dalton, Victoria Phillips, and Hillarie Dalton; one great-nephew, Chase Dalton; and one special friend, Rick Adams. Additionally, Bo leaves behind a host of extended family and friends.

To honor Bo’s wishes, his remains have been cremated, and there will be no services.
