Wanda Faye McCoy Obituary

Wanda Faye Tomblin McCoy, 67, of Wilkinson, WV, was born September 21, 1953, in Logan County, WV, to the late Jessie Franklin Tomblin and Elizabeth Meadows. She departed this life on Friday, December 18, 2020, from CAMC Memorial Hospital in Charleston, WV.

Faye was a long-time employee of Cottage Flower Shop in Logan, WV, before opening her own shop in 1998. Since then, she had been the continuous owner and operator of Heavenly Host Flowers & Gifts in Logan, WV. Her love for her work truly stood out in every flower arrangement she made.

A loving daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, Faye was always willing to go the extra mile and help anyone in any way. She was a devout Christian and a member of New Life Freewill Baptist Church. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by one brother, William Tomblin, and a special aunt, Belle Meadows.

Those left to cherish her memory are one son, Will “Chris” (Christie) McCoy of Wilkinson, WV; grandchildren: Peyton and Easton McCoy; siblings: Patricia (John) Gower, Mary Roop, Bobby Tomblin, Darrell (Amy) Tomblin, Donetta (James) Diamond, Verna Diamond, Michael (Elizabeth) Tomblin, Pamela (Steve) Hapney, and Kimberly (Joe) Diamond; a special cousin, Shirley Pocica, special friends: Sheila Fleming, Ruth Salmons, Donna Curry, and Dr. Chris Flannagan; her special prayer partner, Trina Grimme. Additionally, Faye also leaves behind many nieces and nephews along with a host of other dear relatives and friends.

Graveside services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday, December 29, 2020, at Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill, WV, with Rev. Alvis Porter, Jr., officiating.

Serving as pallbearers will be: Chris McCoy, Tony Adkins, Trey Pennington, Mark McGrew, Connor McGrew, Christian Porter, and Cameron Porter.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Evans Funeral Home P.O. Box 4500 Chapmanville, WV, 25508.
