Wanda Lee Payne McDonald, age 91, a resident of Trinity Healthcare of Logan, passed away on Tuesday, October 11, 2022, at Trinity Healthcare at Logan, WV.

She was born August 8, 1931, at Crooked Creek, WV, to the late George W. and Mary Ellis Payne. Wanda was the last member of her family.

Wanda married R. Fred McDonald on August 23, 1952, who preceded her in death. She and her husband lived most of their married life in Avon Lake, Ohio. Wanda formed a computer class for senior citizens.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by sister, Thelma White, Mildred Neece, and Conda Christian; brothers, Marion W. Payne, Franklin Payne, and George Edward Payne.

Wanda is survived by her nieces and nephews, Shelia (David) Baisden, Mary (David) Evans, Tammy (Billy) Frye, Ralph McNeely, Dennis Neece, Charlie Neece, Sidney (Thelma) Ellis, Joseph McDonald, Jim McDonald, John McDonald, Vicki Freshwater, and Sharon McDonald.

Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 17, 2022, at Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill, WV, with Rev. Tim Secrist and Rev. Ralph Perry officiating.

Following the services, she will be lovingly laid to rest beside her husband.

The family wants to thank the staff of Trinity Healthcare of Logan for their wonderful care of Wanda.
