Walter Williamson, 62, of Chauncey, WV, departed this life on Saturday, May 31, 2025, at his residence.

He was born in Logan, WV, to the late James and Mary Gibson Williamson on October 9, 1962.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his stepfather, Dale Deer; one brother, Johnny Williamson; and his precious daughter, Leslie Williamson.

Walter devoted his life to his job as a mechanic, playing music with his son and friends, but most of all, spending time with his granddaughter.

Those left to cherish his loving memory include one son, Justin D. (Brittany) Williamson; the love of his life, his granddaughter, Madelynn L. Williamson; four sisters, Kitten (Steve) Clemens, Brenda Marcum (Dallas) Johnston, Yvonne (Scott) Duty, and Stella Johnston; two brothers, Jr. Williamson and Paul Williamson; and his two beloved best friends, JR Meade and Larry Dingess. Additionally, Walter leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

We will honor and cherish his life at a private gathering with family and friends on Saturday, June 7, 2025, from 12:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M.

To honor Walter’s wishes, his remains will be cremated.
