Vontie Timmons

Vontie Timmons, 88, of Pecks Mill, WV, departed this life on Tuesday, February 2, 2021, at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Huntington, WV. He was born on December 24, 1932, at Peach Creek, WV, the son of the late Carl William and Annis White Timmons.

Vontie retired with 45 years of service from CSX Transportation.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, John Timmons.

He is survived by his wife, Nadine Timmons; his children: Vontella (Peanut) Sabo and Ceryl (Sipe) Deskins; his grandchildren: Seth Jordan Deskins and Cody Mitchell Sabo. Additionally, Vontie leaves behind a host of extended family and friends.

A private graveside service will be conducted at Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill, WV, with Rev. Roscoe Chafin officiating.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Evans Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Chapmanville, WV.
