Virgle Kenneth Nelson, 75, of Danville, WV, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 3, 2023, leaving from his residence.

He was born February 6, 1947, at Lorado, WV, the son of the late Wilford and Inez Johnson Nelson.

Virgle was a devout Christian and a member of the Washington Heights Church of God at Danville, WV. A United States Navy Veteran, he proudly served four tours in the Vietnam War from 1965-1989. Aside from serving the Lord, his entire life was dedicated to his work in the military.

Virgle was a loving husband to his devoted wife of 24 years, Pamela Ballard Nelson. In addition to his wife, he is also survived by a host of family members and friends.

To honor Virgle’s wishes, his remains have been cremated, and a memorial service is being planned.
