Troy Franklin Stevens, Sr., 80, of Gandeeville, WV, departed this life on Thursday, October 31, 2024, at his residence.
He was born December 23, 1943, at Logan, WV, a son of the late Troy and Jesse White Stevens.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Alma Delores Stevens; one son, Michael Stevens; one brother, James Stevens; two sisters, Joyce and Imogene; and one daughter-in-law, Jacqui Stevens.
Troy was a cherished and devoted family man and skilled woodworker. His passion for the art of woodworking was evident in the many pieces he constructed throughout the years. Among the many things he enjoyed in life, Troy took the greatest pride in spending time with his family.
He is survived by two sons, Troy Stevens, Jr., and Richard Stevens; five grandchildren, Marina Stevens, Joeseph Ostrander, Troy Stevens, III, Jeremiah Stevens, Bridget Wines; 8 great-grandchildren; and one brother, Leo Stevens. Additionally, Troy leaves behind a host of extended family and friends.
Services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, November 6, 2024, at the Evans Funeral Home Chapel at Chapmanville, WV.
Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill, WV.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, November 6, 2024, at the funeral home.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Evans Funeral Home & Cremation Services at Chapmanville, WV.
