Thomas Lee "Tommy" Kirk

Thomas Lee “Tommy” Kirk, 64, of Chapmanville, WV, departed this life on Monday, November 15, 2021, from his residence.

Born November 9, 1957, at Ethel, WV, he was the son of Ernestine Cook and the late Clyde Kirk.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by one brother, Ronald Kirk.

Tommy made his living as a coal miner, and he was employed at Mountain Laurel in Sharples, WV. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved everyone. Tommy was a devoted son, father, grandfather, brother, companion, and friend. A family-oriented man, he enjoyed time spent with his grandsons.

 Those left to cherish his memory, in addition to his mother, include his companion of 25 years, Brenda Barker; two daughters, Jennifer (Jami) Stollings and Amanda (Titus) Rice; his precious grandsons, Keegan, Kaleb, Gracin, and Kolson; his beloved cat, Tuck; three sisters, Sharon Hopkins, Delilah Adkins, and Carolyn Kitchen; one brother, Michael Kirk; special loved ones, Kresta (Kirk) Burford and Kenny (Dena) Barker. Additionally, Tommy also leaves behind a host of extended family and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Friday, November 19, 2021, at the Evans Funeral Home Chapel in Chapmanville, WV, with Pastor Mick Frye officiating.

Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill, WV. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Thursday, November 18, 2021, at Evans Funeral Home in Chapmanville, WV.
