Thomas Frederick McComas, Jr., of Logan, WV, formerly of Melville, WV, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 3, 2026, leaving from Logan Regional Medical Center in Logan, WV.

He was born March 17, 1970, at Logan, WV, the son of the late Thomas Frederick McComas, Sr., and Barbara Gay Spurlock McComas.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Benjamin “Bennie” McComas, Bessie Sybil Pauley McComas Spurlock, and Lonnie Spurlock; his maternal grandparents, Truman Spurlock, Dova Spurlock, and Glenna Spurlock.

Tommy’s life was a testament to his love for the tranquil moments spent in nature. An avid camper and fisherman, he could often be found spending time at the lake. These moments were among his most cherished. He enjoyed bringing smiles to the faces of family, friends, and strangers alike with his wit and humor, and he especially loved entertaining people and singing karaoke. Most importantly, his life was marked by an unwavering devotion to his faith. As a cherished member of the Sunbeam Chapel, he lived his values out loud, walking a path of kindness and compassion guided by his love for Jesus. Tommy leaves behind a legacy of laughter, warmth, and deep faith.

He is survived by a host of cousins whom he loved very much.

The family would like to extend much appreciation to Pastor James Fortune and the Sunbeam Chapel family for their love and support, and also Trinity Healthcare Services along with their staff and Logan Regional Medical Center ER staff for the excellent care they provided to Tommy.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Thursday, January 8, 2026, at Evans Funeral Home & Cremation Services at Chapmanville, WV, with Pastor James Fortune officiating.

Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill, WV. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. Thursday at the funeral home.
