Sylvia Workman, 91, of Chapmanville, WV, departed this life on Friday, July 25, 2025, at her residence.

She was born April 9, 1934, at Chapmanville, WV, a daughter of the late Virgil and Emily Pridemore Farley.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Robert L. “Bob” Workman, Jr.; her husband, Robert L. Workman; one son-in-law, Kent Justice; one grandson, Michael Kent Justice; two sisters, Thelma Short and Frances Sutherland; and one brother, Franklin Farley.

Sylvia's zest for life was evident in her many passions. She was an avid golfer, relishing the time spent on the greens under the open sky. Her love for the sport was only matched by the joy she found in the company of her beloved husband, Robert. Together, they created a sanctuary at their second home in Florida, where they shared countless cherished moments basking in the warmth and serenity of their private retreat.

Above all, Sylvia's heart belonged to her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Each moment spent with them was treasured, and her love for them knew no bounds. She was a source of laughter and a sense of adventure to all those she met. Her vibrant life, marked by dedication and joy, left an indelible mark on all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
