Steven Ray Ferrell, 61, of Chapmanville, WV, departed this life on Thursday, December 29, 2022, at Cabell Huntington Hospital at Huntington, WV.

Born January 21, 1961, at Logan, WV, he was the son of the late Vernon and Martha Hale Ferrell.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Susan Ferrell, and one brother, Keith Ferrell.

Steve worked as a plumber at Ferrell Supply for more than 20 years. In his spare time, he enjoyed four-wheeling, playing horseshoes and poker, and get-togethers with his family and friends.

Steve is survived by his niece, Nina Ferrell of Chapmanville, WV; one nephew, Keith Bell of Huntington, WV; one great-nephew, Tyler Vincell of Big Ugly, WV; his beloved canine companion, Pupdog Ferrell; special friends, Betty Adams, Stephen Barker, Gary Varney, Jimmy “Jimbo” Hanna, Randy Lucas, Jimmy Chapman, Joe Freeman, Joyce and Larry Carr, Wesley Ball, John Craddock, Ardin Adkins, Billy Ray Adkins, Nathan Adkins, and Dwayne Bell. Additionally, Steve also leaves behind his extended family and friends.

A graveside service will be held at a later date at the Baisden Cemetery at Chapmanville, WV.
