Steven B. Casey Obituary

 

Steven B. “Steve” Casey, 70, of Chapmanville, WV, departed this life on Thursday, January 1, 2026, at his residence.


He was born September 5, 1955, at Logan, WV, a son of the late Clarence and Opal Brooks Casey.


In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Jeannie Ellis and Judith Casey; one brother, Ronald “Ron” Casey; and one special son-at-heart, Jason Booth.


Steve was considered a jack-of-all-trades. He was relied on in many capacities and could do or fix just about anything. Steve was an avid storyteller and was loved by all.


He is survived by his companion, Debra Booth of Chapmanville, WV; two sisters, Patricia Pansera of Mount Gay, WV, and Bonnie Mays of Culloden, WV; one special son-at-heart, Chris Booth and his family of Temple, TX; and one special friend, Jay Freeman of Chapmanville, WV. Additionally, Steve leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews, whom he loved dearly; along with his extended family and friends.


To honor Steve’s wishes, his remains have been cremated, and a memorial service will be held later in the spring.


Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Evans Funeral Home & Cremation Services at Chapmanville, WV.
