Sherry Lynne Marcum

Sherry Lynne Marcum, 54, of Davin, WV, departed this life on Wednesday, March 1, 2023, at Logan Regional Medical Center at Logan, WV.

Born December 17, 1968, at Columbus, OH, she was the daughter of Velma Fillinger Marcum of Davin, WV, and the late Franklin Delano Marcum.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her grandparents, Felix and Virgie Fillinger along with several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Sherry was a respiratory therapist. A loving and devoted daughter, mother, grandmother, niece, and friend, she was very special to her family who loved her dearly.

Those left to cherish her memory, in addition to her mother, are her son, Dewey (Erica) Meadows of Hickory, NC; two grandchildren, Cadance Elizabeth Meadows and Gavin Meadows both of Hickory, NC. Sherry also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, and cousins, along with a host of extended family and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 10, 2023, at the Evans Funeral Home Chapel at Chapmanville, WV, with Rev. Elbert Collins, Jr., officiating.

Burial will follow in the Freelin Dalton Cemetery at Harts, WV. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to services Friday at the funeral home.
