Sharon Kaye Adams, 77, of Chapmanville, West Virginia, departed this life on Friday, December 12, 2025, at Hubbard Hospice House in Charleston, West Virginia, after a battle with breast cancer.
Sharon was born on July 26, 1948, in Logan, West Virginia, to Leonard and Dicie Adams.
Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, Leonard and Dicie Adams, her sister, Glenna Adams Hargis, and her brother, Gary Keith Adams.
Sharon was an active member of the Chapmanville Church of Christ for more than sixty years, until her illness. Sharon graduated with the class of 1966 from Chapmanville High School, and from Marshall University with both Bachelor of Arts and Masters Degrees. Sharon was a teacher at East Chapmanville Grade School for thirty-seven years. She was also an active participant in both her family and high school class reunions and was “adopted” into the Chapmanville High School Class of 1963. She remained in touch with and devoted to her cousins all through the years and will be dearly missed.
Services for Sharon Kaye Adams will be conducted at the Evans Funeral Home in Chapmanville on Sunday, December 21, 2025, with visitation from 11:00 a.m. through 1:00 p.m., and a service at 1:00 p.m., with minister Jimmy Carter officiating. Burial will follow in the Frank and Susan Adams Cemetery at Harts.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Evans Funeral Home & Cremation Services at Chapmanville, West Virginia.
