Sandra Sue “Sandy” Ball, 76, of Lake, WV, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 1, 2024, leaving from Hillcrest Health Care at Danville, WV.

She was born May 31, 1948, at Verdunville, WV, a daughter of the late Woodrow and Ruby Darby Scaggs.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two nephews, Benji Ball and Cory Ball.

Sandy worked as a secretary for several different offices over the years. She was a devoted Christian and attended the Mt. Mission Community Church whenever she was able. She loved collecting knick-knacks which could be seen all throughout her home. Sandy's passion for these small wonders was only matched by her love for her feline companions, and she cared for them with a gentle and nurturing spirit. Sandy's legacy is one of kindness, devotion, and love.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, John Lee Ball; one sister, Judy Adams; her nephews, Larry Adams, Chris Myers, Matt Myers, Jeremy Ball, Dustin Ball, Eddie Payne, Jeff Payne, and Mark Payne; one niece, Kimberly (Mark) Rhodes; two sisters-in-law, Beverly (Kenneth) Myers and Carol Sue (Charles) Payne; and one brother-in-law, Dwight (Laura) Ball. Additionally, Sandy leaves behind a host of extended family and friends.

A private family graveside service will be held.
