Sadie Ann Christian, 75, of Chapmanville, WV, departed this life on Saturday, January 28, 2023, at her residence.

Sadie was born January 13, 1948, at Logan, WV, she was the daughter of the late Burl and Sadie Barker Smith.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Christian.

Sadie worked as a teacher’s aide for 33 years at East and West Chapmanville Grade Schools. She also served as a former town council member at the Town of Chapmanville and was a proud member of the WVSSPA. In her spare time, Sadie enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her great-grandchildren. She also loved traveling, taking road trips, and sightseeing. Her most favorite sights were lighthouses.

Those left to cherish her memory are one daughter, Rhonda Kinder; one son, Mike Christian; two grandchildren, Chris (Rachel) Kinder and Tiffany Kinder; five great-grandchildren, Piper Thompson, Bryson Thompson, Weston Kinder, Matthew, and Emily; and three very dear friends, Linda Woodrum, Sharon Adams, and Sheila Robinson.

Services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, February 2, 2023, at the Evans Funeral Home Chapel at Chapmanville, WV.

Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens at Godby, WV. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

Visitation will be held Thursday, February 2, 2023, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
