Ruth Ann Hannah, 77, of Chapmanville, WV, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, February 6, 2026, leaving from her residence surrounded by family.
She was born November 20, 1948, at Pigeon Roost, a daughter of the late William Madison Turner and Tennessee Ratliff Turner.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Hannah, Jr.; an infant son, Roger Dale Hannah; an infant grandson, William Earl Hannah, Jr.; five brothers, Elmer, Ray, Charlie, Ben, and Frank Turner; four sisters, Lucille Spencer, Mary Lee Turner, Wilda Shelton, and Janice Clem; and one special friend, Fay Green.
Ruth was a homemaker. A devout Christian and servant of Jesus Christ, she was a cherished member of the Mill Creek Church of God. Her passion for gospel music was both a source of peace and an inspiration to all who knew her. She never missed an opportunity to witness about the Lord, especially to the unsaved. Family was the cornerstone of Ruth’s life, and she cherished each moment she spent with them. Her home was a sanctuary for not only her family but for all those who visited her, and her family photographs surrounding her walls were a true testament to the dedication to those she loved. An avid collector of ceramic birds and angels, Ruth found great delight in these delicate keepsakes. She could often be seen in her yard, tending to her flower garden. Her love for her beloved feline companion, Minnie Mae, knew no bounds. Ruth was a doting mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, and she leaves behind a legacy of unwavering devotion and love.
Those left to cherish her memory are two sons, William Earl (Melissa) Hannah and Freddie Lee (Drema) Hannah; three grandchildren, Crystal Hannah, Zack Hannah, and Josh Hannah; one great-granddaughter, Jamie Ann Maynard; four sisters, Irene Henry, Marilyn Latta, Brenda Walker, and Linda Risko Goodman and her husband Thomas; and two special best friends, Stephanie Burgess and Donna Woody. Additionally, Ruth leaves behind her church family, many nieces and nephews, along with a host of family and friends.
