Robyn Miller Obituary

Robyn Miller went home to be with Jesus on Friday, December 20, 2024, surrounded by her family and friends. She is survived by her loving husband of 28 years, Ernie, of Winfield; her mother, June Proklevich, of Chapmanville; her daughter, Tabetha (Billy) Adkins-Shato, of Downingtown, PA; her son, Bryan Adkins, of Circleville, OH; her uncle and aunt, Gene and Ruth Whitman, of Ashland, KY; her aunt, Evelyn Whitman, of Winfield; her cousins, Michael (Becky) Whitman, Shannon (Bryan) York, and Heather Whitman; and her friend, Steve Adkins. She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Kenneth and Brooke Whitman and Dewey and Gladys Dixon; her father, Bill Proklevich; her uncles and aunt, Earl “Shoat” Whitman, Harold Kenneth “Wheaties” Whitman, and Lahoma Cutlip; and her devoted miniature poodle, Lucy.

Robyn fulfilled her professional destiny when she became a registered nurse in 1986. Most of Robyn’s career was spent at CAMC Women’s and Children’s Hospital, where she worked for over 30 years, primarily on the Labor & Delivery Unit. During her time there, she served as a charge nurse, an emergency transport nurse, and a fetal monitor educator. Countless babies and mothers benefited from Robyn’s sharp skill set, intelligence, and compassionate care. Highlights of her career include delivering quadruplets, earning a specialized certification in fetal monitoring, and delivering babies in ambulances. She sang “Happy Birthday” to every healthy baby she helped bring into the world.

Robyn was deeply devoted to her family and cherished vacationing by the ocean and taking cruises. She brought endless magic and joy to family celebrations, whether through her thoughtful holiday traditions, her knack for making every birthday special, or the warmth she shared at every gathering. She never met a stranger, greeting everyone she encountered with kindness and a welcoming smile. Her favorite Disney character, Tinkerbell, perfectly captured her essence: adventurous, full of sparkle, a little mischievous, and always lighting up the world around her.

Services honoring Robyn’s life will be held at the Logan Church of the Nazarene on Friday, December 27, at 1:00 PM, with visitation beginning at noon.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Evans Funeral Home & Cremation Services at Chapmanville, WV.
