Robert Paul Carter, 67, of Harts, WV, passed away on Monday, September 1, 2025.
Robert spent many years of his life as a proud West Virginia coal miner. He loved all things outdoors, gardening, hunting, fishing, and playing golf.
He was born on September 12, 1957, in Logan County, WV, the son of the late Dallas and Flora Carter.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by siblings, Dallas, Jerry-Dale, Kennard, Wanda, Helena, Catherine, Vinessia, Rosa Lee, Timothy, and Craig; his parents-in-law, Lovell and Peggy Adams; and his sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Pamela, Chris, and Donald Adams.
Those left to cherish his memory include his devoted wife, Debbie; his loving children, Elizabeth (Michael), Johnathon (Natalie), and Benny (Melissa); his grandchildren who had his heart, Nicholas and Emily, Tori (Andy), Chasity, Emitt, and Aubreigh; one great-grandson, his little “tornado” Creed Michael; a special aunt, Linda Adams who was like a mother to him; his siblings, James and Glen (Penny); his brothers-in-law, Richard, Cecil, John (Betty), and Michael. Additionally, Robert leaves behind many nieces and nephews along with a host of extended family and friends.
Visitation will be held from 12:00 P.M. to 1:00 P.M. Saturday, September 6, 2025, at Evans Funeral Home & Cremation Services.
Burial and graveside services will follow immediately after the visitation in the Cole Adams Cemetery at Harts, with Rev. JC Blair officiating. Close family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
