Robert Ernest "Robbie" Hall

Robert Ernest Hall, 37, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 18, 2022.  

Robbie, as he was affectionately known, was born in Huntington, WV on December 31, 1984 to the late Robert ‘Lee’ and Ramona Ann Hall.  

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Ernest and Stella Hall and maternal grandparents, Lyle and Mary Jane ‘Pug’ Henry as well as one uncle, Larry Henry.  

Robbie was a 2003 graduate of Chapmanville High School where he was a saxophonist for the band.  He also achieved the rank of Eagle Scout in 2001.  

Robbie was a very kind, caring and outgoing person.  He was very generous.  He enjoyed helping others.He lived his life to its fullest and loved waterskiing, snow skiing, hiking and camping.  

Robbie was a very creative person.  He was an extremely talented musician and painter and was exceptionally gifted on the piano.  He was a hard worker.  He enjoyed making others happy. He was a good son, husband, brother, cousin and friend.  

Those left to cherish his memory include his husband, William ‘Billy’ Gowen, of Duluth, MN. Two sisters, Robin (Donovan) Hendricks of Little River, SC and Crystal Casey of Chapmanville, WV.  Three nephews who knew him as Uncle RobBob:  Garrett Casey, Bennett Casey and Donovan ‘D-Rock’ Hendricks.  Aunts and uncles:  Johnny and Marsha Newman of Chapmanville, WV, Janet Henry of Parkersburg, WV, Max and Sheida Henry of Cebu, Philippines and Everetta Boyd of Barboursville, WV and Janet (Mike) Young.  He will also be missed by his many cousins and friends.

It was Robbie’s wish for his remains to be cremated.  In addition to memorial services in Duluth, MN and Salt Lake City, UT, a celebration of his life will be held in Chapmanville, WV at a later date.
