Robert Jackson Pridemore

September 11, 1942 – June 20, 2021

Our Hero didn’t wear a cape!

Robert served his country in the United States Navy. He retired after 28 years as a Lieutenant in the Providence Rhode Island Fire Department, Ladder Company 8, Group D.

Robert passed away at his home in Homosassa, Florida at 78 years old.

Preceded in death by his Son, Robert (Bobby) Pridemore Jr., his daughter, Lisa Jean Pridemore, his father and mother, Hansford and Susie Pridemore of Chapmanville, WV, his brothers, Jimmie Pridemore of Chapmanville, WV and Hansford Pridemore of Chapmanville, WV, his sisters Milford Thompson of Parma Heights, Ohio  and Anna Scaggs of Creston, Ohio. 

Robert was a great husband and dad, survived by his wife Karen Pridemore and son Maddox Pridemore of Homosassa, Florida. His grandson Jonathan (Emma) Pridemore of Providence, Rhode Island, and great grandson Jace Pridemore,  Jonathan Pridemore Jr. and Anthony Pridemore, great granddaughter Evana Pridemore. Step children Corey (Theresa) Hansen (Connor and Norah), Kristen Hansen, and Cameron Hansen.    His brother Edward (Ruth) Pridemore of Julian, WV and numerous nieces and nephews.

Graveside Services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Friday, June 25, 2021 at the Pridemore Cemetery at Rocky Hill at Chapmanville, WV with Joaquin Ooten officiating.  Military Rites will follow at the Pridemore Cemetery at Rocky Hill at Chapmanville, WV.

Friends may call from 12:00 P.M. until 1:00 P.M. Friday, June 25, 2021 at the Pridemore Cemetery at Rocky Hill at Chapmanville, WV.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Evans Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Chapmanville, WV.
