Rickey Sherman Waite, 68, of Danville, WV, passed away on Monday, May 15, 2023, at his residence.

Born January 20, 1955, at Akron, OH, a son of the late Wilmer and Lorraine Akers Waite.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Gary Cevueny, and several aunts and uncles.

Rickey enjoyed watching all sports, including football, and he also enjoyed watching Westerns.

Rickey is survived by two daughters, Jayme Hellstrom of Fleming Island Plantation, FL, and Lisa (Keith) Campbell of Green, OH; his grandchildren, Tyler Banig, Kasey Winney, Alexander Hellstrom, Phoenix Hellstrom, Christopher (Meaghan) Campbell, Cody Campbell, Chase Campbell, and Craig Campbell; one great-daughter, Zoey Campbell; his sister, Patricia “Patty” (Danny) Akers; two nephews, Dan (Paula) Akers and Brian (Tamera) Akers; one niece, Amy (Matt) Boylan; his caregiver, Mona Cullison, whom he thought the world of; along with several cousins, nieces, nephews and a host of extended family and friends.

To honor Rickey’s wishes, his remains will be cremated, and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
