Richard Dwayne Pauley, 63, of Danville, WV, departed this life on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, at his residence.


He was born November 28, 1961, at Cleveland, OH, a son of the late Richard Eugene Pauley and Leona Mae Brown.


In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Richard Dwayne Pauley, II; and two sisters, Martha Sue Pauley and Venus Miller.


Dwayne spent many years as a mobile home installer, where he was known for his reliability and skill. Beyond his professional life, his heart belonged to the mountains and the tranquility of nature. An avid outdoorsman, he found solace in fishing, coon hunting, and camping. Family was the cornerstone of Dwayne's life. He cherished spending time with his grandchildren, offering wisdom and sharing in their laughter. These moments were the highlights of his days, and his love for his family was evident to all who knew him. In his quieter moments, he enjoyed watching television, with "Gunsmoke" being his all-time favorite show. Dwayne will be remembered as a man who lived life with a full heart, leaving an indelible mark on everyone he met.


Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Devonna Pauley; one daughter, Chelsea (Eddie) Suthard of Danville, WV; his step-children, Ricky (Marnie) Beheler of Robinson, WV, and Ashley (Jonathan) Greene of Danville, WV; six grandchildren whom he adored, Brantley Jace, Bryleigh Mae, Isabella Brooke, Carolina Raine, Iridessa Faith, and Charlotte Marcella; one special friend who was like a brother, James “Duke” Webb of Danville, WV; two brothers; one sister; one special brother, Joseph Pauley of Richmond, VA; and two special nephews, Sam (Katie) Pauley of Richmond, Va, and Austin (Mina) Miller of Charleston, WV. Additionally, Dwayne leaves behind many nieces and nephews along with a host of extended family and friends.


Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, February 25, 2025, at Evans Funeral Home & Cremation Services at Chapmanville, WV, with Rev. Billy Nelson officiating.


Burial will follow in the Pauley Family Cemetery at Danville, WV.


Visitation will be held from 6:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. Monday, February 24, 2025, at Evans Funeral Home & Cremation Services at Chapmanville, WV.


Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.


Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Evans Funeral Home & Cremation Services at Chapmanville, WV.
