Rebecca Lynn Workman

Rebecca Lynn Workman, 69, of Logan, WV, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, August 7, 2021, leaving from Logan Regional Medical Center in Logan, WV.

Born May 13, 1952, at Logan, WV, she was the daughter of the late Charles “Bud” and Janet Hall Fortner.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her beloved husband, David Lee Workman.

Rebecca was a homemaker and was very devoted to her family. An adventurous woman, she enjoyed traveling. She also loved her canine companions. She was a member of the Stollings Christian Church at Stollings, WV. Rebecca had a very caring and giving heart, and she enjoyed caring for others and taking care of the widows of her church. She will be deeply missed by her family and all those who knew and loved her.

Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Laura (Michael) Meade, Tammy (David) Swims, Kyle (Molly) Gerhardt, and David (Ashley) Workman, II; her grandchildren, Benjamin (Paige) Meade, Olivia Meade, Addison Swims, Nathaniel (Lauren) Gerhardt, Oliver Gerhardt, Xander Gerhardt, Jacob Workman, Hannah Workman, and Samuel Workman; one great-granddaughter, Renley Everleigh Gerhardt; and one brother, Charles “Chuck” Fortner, Jr. Additionally, Rebecca also leaves behind a host of many extended family and friends.

Private graveside services will be held at a later date.

To honor Rebecca’s wishes, her remains will be cremated.
