Phyllis Jewel Mullins

Phyllis Jewel Mullins, 86, of Chapmanville, WV, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, October 4, 2021, leaving from McDowell Nursing and Rehab in Gary, WV.

Born July 6, 1935, at Chapmanville, WV, she was the daughter of the late Tracy Richard and Pearl Oressa Plumley Kinser.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by one son, Randall Mullins; two sisters, Nellie Martin and Shelby Jean Kinser; and one brother, Richard Kinser.

Phyllis was a devoted daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She was a devout Christian and a member of the Chapmanville Church of God. Phyllis worked at American Greetings where she made greeting cards for all occasions. Her greatest joy, besides her grandchildren, was going to church and serving the Lord. She also had a love for flowers and their beauty.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Claude Mullins; three brothers, Bob (Carolyn) Kinser of Statesville, NC, William “Pete” (Johnnie Lynn) Kinser of Chapmanville, WV, and James “Duke” Kinser of Bradenton, FL; her grandchildren, Andrea (Rob) Mullins of Parma, OH, Amanda (Doug) Mullins of Garfield Heights, OH, Brandon (Becky) Mullins of Crossville, TN, and Candice Mullins of Parma, OH; her great-grandchildren, Nathaniel (Alexis) Mullins of Cleveland, OH, Dominick Mullins, and Isaac and Esther Mullins; one great-great-granddaughter, Nevaeh Mullins. Additionally, Phyllis also leaves behind many nieces and nephews along with a host of extended family and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, October 7, 2021, at the Evans Funeral Home Chapel in Chapmanville, WV, with Bishop Mike Davis officiating.

Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens at Godby, WV. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to services Thursday at the funeral home.
