Peggy Meadows Bryant, 85, of Henlawson, WV, departed this life on Monday, July 15, 2024, at her residence.

She was born December 11, 1938, at Chapmanville, WV, a daughter of the late Ezra Guy and Inez Sylvia Barker Meadows.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two daughters, Sandy Hannah and Patty Kratz; and one sister, Janice Perez.

Peggy enjoyed the simple pleasures in life. She was an avid gardener, and she was also very skilled in canning and cooking. Her love for the outdoors was evident in the way she enjoyed exploring the West Virginia mountains. A loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, Peggy was very devoted to her family. She leaves behind a legacy of hard work, dedication, and love.

Those left to cherish her memory are three sons, Dwayne Bryant of Henlawson, WV, Scotty Bryant of Forest City, NC, and Jeffrey Bryant of Holland, MI; two step-daughters, Terry Adkins of Chapmanville, WV, and Karen Carter of Danville, WV; 10 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren; five sisters, Margaret “Tootie” Butcher of Cleveland, OH, Claudia (Roy) Mcleod of Palmetto, FL, Carol Beckner of Cave City, KY, Linda Chapman and Wanda (Doug) Smith both of Chapmanville, WV; and one brother, Glenn (Sandy) Meadows of Chapmanville, WV. Additionally, Peggy leaves behind many nieces and nephews along with a host of extended family and friends.

A graveside service will be held at a later date.
