Paul Workman Obituary

Paul Steven Workman, 71, of Chapmanville, WV, departed this life on Wednesday, September 22, 2021, from Logan Regional Medical Center at Logan, WV.

Born July 6, 1950, at Striker Fork, Chapmanville, WV, he was the son of the late Johnnie and Kathleen Workman.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his two loving sons, Steve and Jason of Crawley Creek; five brothers, Johnnie Workman, Jr., Kenneth Workman, and Ricky Workman all of Vale, NC, Ronnie Workman of Portland, OR, and Frank “Bud” Workman of Wilkinson, WV; and a very close friend, Wendy Mullins.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Madonna of Chapmanville, WV; three grandchildren, Erica Workman and Patrick Workman of Chapmanville, WV, and Nitrous Workman of NC; two brothers, Bobby Workman (Norma) of Vale, NC, and Ralph Workman of Godby Branch, WV; one sister, Merline (Clifford) Vance of Pecks Mill, WV; and one special friend, Brian Compton of Chapmanville, WV. Additionally, Paul also leaves behind four loving aunts, one uncle, and many nieces and nephews along with a host of extended family and friends.

Paul loved the Lord Jesus and was always expressive with others about his faith and love for the Lord.

He loved gardening and giving to others the fruits of his labor. He also learned the art of making tombstones for his friends, and he mastered the technique of making lye soap which he freely shared with others. Paul also enjoyed spending time with his nephew, Nick Collier.

Private graveside services will be held at the family cemetery at Crawley Creek.

The family would like to thank the staff and nurses of LRMC for their care and the kindness that was shown during the days that Paul was a patient at their facility. The family would also like to thank Ray and Dena Mullins for all of their help and care provided to Paul.
