Paul Ray Tabor, 75, of Kiahsville, WV, departed this life on Friday, December 24, 2021, from his residence.
Born February 2, 1946, at Lincoln County, WV, he was the son of the late Thurston Tabor, Sr., and Hazel Colegrove Tabor.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Carl Tabor; two sisters, Alice Kern and Christine Hannah; and his parents-in-law, Homer Scott Burger, Sr., and Donzel Burger.
Paul was a very skilled farmer and carpenter. He enjoyed woodworking and building all sorts of items, including chairs. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed fishing. Paul was a devoted Christian and attended the Piney Community Church.
Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Ida Tabor; six sisters, Mary Tabor, Lillian Elkins, Anna Gaye Gibbs, Jenny Stout, Rose Lovejoy, and Janice Sheppard; three brothers, Thurston Tabor, Jr., Charles Tabor, and Clinton Tabor. Additionally, Paul leaves behind many nieces and nephews along with a host of extended family and friends.
Graveside services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 30, 2021 at the Weltha Nelson Cemetery at Chapmanville, WV.
