Patricia Ann Scites Obituary

Patricia Ann Crane Scites entered her heavenly home on April 10, 2025. She was born January 23, 1952, in Holden, WV to Ruth Edna White and Charles Robert Crane Sr.

Patty was a retired Registered Nurse, having gone back to school after her children were raised. While both working and going to nursing school full time, she also managed to always make her family feel loved and taken care of. She excelled in every challenge she faced. She was a die-hard Chicago Cubs fan and loved music, reading, crocheting, quilting, and taking care of

her flowers. Our momma was one of the kindest, most loving, funniest people and her loss will leave a hole in our life that will never be filled. Our only solace is that she is back with her husband, Gene, and all those that went home before her and they are celebrating in Heaven with our Lord.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband of 53 years, Daniel Eugene Scites, Sr., her brother Charles (Chuckie) Robert Crane Jr., and her bonus dad Joseph (PJ) Ray VanNatter.

Patricia was a devoted mother to her children: Jeannie (Kevin) Scheller, Stephanie (Everett) Maynard, Daniel (Christy) Scites Jr., Jennifer (Matt) Adams, and Jaime Scites. She was so proud of and immensely loved her grandchildren: Daniel (Tabby) Scheller, Jessica (Will) Horowitz, Aaron Scheller, Patrick (Kenzie) Scites, Ethan Scheller, Kristen Scites, Kaitlynn Scheller, Matthew Adams, and Victoria Maynard. Also left to cherish her memory are her six great grandchildren; sisters: Sandy Crane, Jacqui VanNatter, Lisa (Tom) Guinn, Janet VanNatter, Cheryl Crane, and Brandi Love; brothers: Mike Crane, JR VanNatter, Rex (Geri) Crane, and Charles Robert “Buddy” (Edith) Crane; and a large host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and beloved friends.
