Nyoka Yvonne Wellman

Nyoka Yvonne Wellman, 70, of Dingess, WV, departed this life on Tuesday, September 19, 2023, at her residence.

Born on December 14, 1952, at Marietta, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Walter Linton and Dorothy Horner Antill.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Gary "Dump" Wellman; one daughter, Garri S. Wellman; two brothers, Michael Linton and Ricky Linton; and one sister, Vickie Goff.

Nyoka was a loving and devoted daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She had a love for nature and animals. She was an avid bird watcher and could often be found outdoors, observing the beauty around her. Nyoka took great pride in maintaining her home, ensuring it was always a welcoming and comfortable place for her family and friends to visit. Nyoka will long be remembered for her kindness to others.

Those left to cherish her memory include two daughters, Navonna (Keith) Browning of Verdunville, WV, and Misty Yeager of Dingess, WV; four grandchildren, Taylor (Melvin) Mayhew, Levi Browning, Shelby Yeager, and Madison Yeager; and her special sister, Cheryl McClanahan. Additionally, she leaves behind a host of extended family and friends.

As per her wishes, a private family graveside service will be held.
