Nola Marie Jeffrey Kinser, 90, of Lenore, WV, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 16, 2025, leaving from the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington, KY.
Nola was born on January 30, 1935, at Ethel, WV, to the late Carlos and Roma Craddock Jeffrey.
In addition to her parents, Nola was preceded in death by her first husband, Gene Kinser; her second husband, John B. Newsome; one son, Bruce Micheal Kinser; one granddaughter, Teresa Kinser; one grandson, Charles David Kinser; two great-grandchildren, Nessa and Trey Goble; four brothers, Doug, Ralph, James, and Carlos Jeffrey; and two sisters Marcella Shoaf and Betty Short.
Nola became a member of Parsley Bottom Freewill Baptist Church in 1959, where she faithfully served. After having six children, Nola received her high school degree and went on to earn a Master’s Degree in Education from Marshall. She was also a fifty-year member of the Eastern Star. A loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and friend, Nola was very devoted to her family.
Nola is survived by one daughter, Sandy (Danny) Goble of Inez, KY; four sons, Terry (Mary) Kinser and Dwayne Kinser both of Chapmanville, WV, Gerald Ray (Jan) Kinser and Darrell (Sheila) Kinser both of Wheeling, WV; one stepson, Jerome (Barb) Newsome of Lenore, WV; one stepdaughter, Sharon (Eugene) Ingram of Forrest Hills, KY; 13 grandchildren and 3 step grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and 9 step-great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; and one special family friend whom she thought of as a son, Bobby (Dole) Miller. Additionally, Nola leaves behind many loving nieces and nephews along with her church family.
Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 P.M. Saturday, March 22, 2025, at Parsley Bottom Freewill Baptist Church at Lenore, WV, with Rev. Wayne Runyon and Pastor Joaquine Ooten officiating.
Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens at Godby, WV. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. Friday, March 21, 2025, at Parsley Bottom Freewill Baptist Church at Lenore, WV.
Arrangements are under the direction of Evans Funeral Home & Cremation Services at Chapmanville, WV.
