Obituary
Nathan E. Curry, 84, of Omar, WV, departed this life on Friday, August 11, 2023, at St. Mary’s Medical Center at Huntington, WV.
He was born April 25, 1939, at Pine Creek, WV, a son of the late Sidney Kessler Curry and Anna Thern Curry.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Elsie Yarbour Curry; three brothers, Matthew Curry, Kess Curry, and Charles Curry; and three sisters, Chloe Peters, Emma Sue Gilpin, and Mary Ann Lasley.
Nathan retired from the Logan County Board of Education after many years of service in the maintenance department. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting, watching football, and porch sitting.
Survivors include three children, James (Millie) Cline of Tewksbury, MA, Sheila Tarina Green of Charleston, WV, and Nathan Charles Curry of Omar, WV; two grandchildren, Ethan Quince Holstein of Omar, WV, and Hurl Cline of Tewksbury, MA; three great-grandchildren, Elizabeth Cline, Calvin Cline, and Gage Cline; and one sister, Sheila Kay Curry of Omar, WV. He also leaves behind a host of extended family and friends.
To honor his wishes, Nathan’s remains will be cremated, and there will be no services.
