Nancy Lou Berry Adkins, 65, of Dunbar, WV, departed this life to be with her Lord and Savior on August 16, 2023, at her home in Dunbar, WV.

She was born October 8, 1957, at Charleston, WV, the daughter of Faye Berry Adkins of Danville, WV, and the late Donnie Adkins.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by one son, Michael Shawn Vance; her grandparents, Cecil and Betty Berry; one uncle, Jimmy Berry; and her mother-in-law, Lucille Robinson.

Nancy attended Uneeda Grade School as a child and was a 1975 graduate of Scott High School. She proudly served in the U.S. Army.

She is survived by her mother, Faye Adkins of Danville, WV, two daughters, Shawna (Kevin) Walker of South Charleston, WV, and Amber (George) Leftwich of Uneeda, WV; two sisters, Rita (Ronnie) Roberts of Danville, WV, and Cindy Vickers of Foster, WV; one brother, Scotty (Lisa) Adkins of West Hamlin, WV; two aunts, Ruth (Jerry) Sutphin of Uneeda, WV, and Marsha Berry of Madison, WV; four grandchildren, Jacob Walker, Kayla Walker, Dekari Leftwich, and Zaccai Leftwich; cousins, Jimmy Berry of Madison, WV, and Brent (Patricia) Sutphin of Oceana, WV. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
