Mitchell Lilly, 70, of Chapmanville, WV, departed this life on Friday, November 15, 2024, at his residence.

He was born July 2, 1954, at Logan, WV, a son of the late Grethel Lilly.

In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his wife, Cynthia Lilly; and son, Michael Lilly. 

Mitchell was a devoted family man who cherished every moment spent with his beloved grandson, Mitch, who brought immense joy and laughter into his life.  In his younger days, Mitchell loved spending time outdoors, often found fishing by the water's edge or in his garden.

He is survived by his daughter, Susie (Danny Maynard) Whitt; grandchildren, Chelsea McCloud and Mitchell Whitt; brother, Mont (Donna) Lilly. Additionally, Mitchell leaves behind several nieces and a host of family and friends.

To honor Mitchell’s wishes, there will be no services.
