Midgie Endicott, 82, of Pecks Mill, WV, (Long Fork of Mill Creek) went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, October 4, 2023, leaving from Cabell Huntington Hospital in Huntington, WV.

She was born July 29, 1941, at Argyle, WV, a daughter of the late Ira and Ina Birt Adkins.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Endicott; and two brothers, Lucian Adkins and Cecil Ira Adkins.

Midgie was the owner and operator of Mill Creek Grocery for many years. She was a devoted Christian and attended the Victory Freewill Baptist Church at Pecks Mill, WV. Midgie enjoyed baking for any and all events such as weddings, birthdays, and anniversaries. She was a 1959 graduate of Logan High School where she was an all-state clarinet player. She was also a Notary Public, and she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Devoted to her family, Midgie will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Those left to cherish her memory are two daughters, Tammy (Randall) Franklin of Scott Depot, WV, and Jeannie Endicott and her companion, Obie Cox, Jr., of Clarksburg, WV; one granddaughter, Brittany Franklin and her companion, Brandon Farmer of Hurricane, WV; one special family member who was like a grandson, Ty Cox and his companion, Brittany Clemons of Newton, NC; and two sisters, Mila Lou Adkins and Lila Sue Adkins both of Pecks Mill, WV. Additionally, Midgie leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews along with a host of extended family and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, October 14, 2023, at the Evans Funeral Home Chapel at Chapmanville, WV, with Rev. Roscoe Chafin officiating.

Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill, WV. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Friday, October 13, 2023, at Evans Funeral Home.
