Martin Hobbs Obituary

Martin Hobbs, 63, of Chapmanville, WV, departed this life on Friday, February 2, 2024, at CAMC HospiceCare at Charleston, WV.

He was born December 29, 1960, at Charleston, WV, a son of the late Marion Martin Hobbs and Mary Estepp Hobbs.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Ron Hobbs; and two sisters, Brenda Butler and Teresa Hager.

An avid outdoorsman, Martin found solace in nature. Whether it was fishing, hunting, or shooting guns at the range, he was in his element. His passion for the outdoors was only matched by his dedication to the Pittsburgh Steelers. Every game was an event, and his spirit and enthusiasm were infectious to all those around him. Martin's greatest joy was found in the company of his beloved family and grandchildren. The bonds created during camping trips and family gatherings were unbreakable and filled with stories that will be told for generations. His guidance, humor, and love will forever be cherished and remembered.

Those left to cherish his memory are the love of his life, Marie Richards of Chapmanville, WV; his children, Mandy (Drew) Gibson of North Ridgeville, OH, Millie Gross of Brecksville, OH, Sadona (John) Loggins and Scott (Kayla) Keller of Chapmanville, WV; his grandchildren, Mark Hobbs, Shane Harding, Scott Harding, Jr., Bella Keller, Easton Keller, Ava Farmer, and Jonah Loggins; his great-grandchildren, Amya Harding, Nevaeh Hobbs, Kingston Harding, Novalynn Hobbs, and Mila Harding; one brother, Robert Hobbs of Cleveland, OH; and two sisters, Kathy Cochran and Charlene Hobbs both of Cleveland, OH. Additionally, Martin leaves behind many nieces and nephews along with a host of extended family and friends.
