Martha Mae Ward, 70, of Danville, WV, departed this life on Saturday, June 29, 2024, at Boone Memorial Hospital in Madison, WV.
She was born July 24, 1953, at Logan, WV, a daughter of the late Tito and Carrie Hager.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Carrie McNeely; one sister, Mary Belle “Popcorn” Kelly; and three brothers, Frankie, Tennis, and Tiny Hager.
Martha was a homemaker. She found joy in the little things. She enjoyed watching television, where she would indulge in the antics and mysteries of Murder She Wrote, reminisce with The Golden Girls, and rally with the Westerns. Martha was a wonderful mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She will be greatly missed, but her legacy of love and kindness will continue to live on in the many lives she touched.
Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Jessica (Brady) McNeely, Jesse Nolan Ward, Jr., James Ward, and Ruth Ward; her grandchildren, Mike, Lisa, Kirstin, Kailin, CJ, Laura, Nickie, Montana, Crystal, Arianni, Isaiah, David, Paul, Brittany, Kayla, Zach, and Daniel; her great-grandchildren, Ranger, Dixie, Hunter, Piper, Summer, David, Timothy, and Levi; two sisters, Annie Mullins and Violet Hager; special family members, Chesley Ward, Eric McCallister, Timothy Dempsey, and Brandon Beaver. Additionally, Martha leaves behind many nieces and nephews along with a host of extended family and friends.
Arrangements are incomplete and have been entrusted to the care of Evans Funeral Home & Cremation Services at Chapmanville, WV.
