Margaret Fay Huffman

Margaret Fay (Ellis) Huffman, 78, of Chapmanville, WV, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, February 26, 2021, leaving from Cabell Huntington Hospital in Huntington, WV.

Born March 5, 1942, at Switzer, WV, to Anse and Ella Ellis.

In her younger life, Margaret managed the Cork and Bottle in Logan, WV. She then moved to Ohio where she supervised the Arcade and Hallie Buliding. She later returned to Logan in her senior years and was a homemaker to many of our local doctors and business owners. She attended the Godby Heights Freewill Baptist Church and Crossroads Church in Chapmanville, WV.

Margaret enjoyed going to the races, horse shows, and camping. Although she enjoyed these things, spending time with her family was her greatest enjoyment. She is and always will be the light in her children’s lives.

Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, Anse and Ella Ellis; the father of her children, Buddie Anse Stone; her husband of 33 years, Jackie Huffman; two brothers: Wilson Ellis and Willie Ellis; one sister, Abigail Toler; and two grandsons: Buddie Scott and Eric Scott Stone.

Survivors include one sister, Oreo (Dennie) Toler of Chapmanville, WV; one daughter, Kattie Fay (Chris) Coats of Chapmanville, WV; two sons: Buddie (Lisa) Stone of Logan WV, and Donald (Elizabeth) Stone of North Ridgeville, OH; 11 grandchildren: Margaret Thomas and John Lambert of Chapmanville, WV, Amanda Stone of Shelby, NC, Kassie Adkins and Buddie Blevins of Logan, WV, Mary Scarbo, Donald Stone, Shawn Stone, Colleen Mason, Mariea Stone, and Christina Stone all of North Ridgeville, OH; 31 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Additionally, Margaret also leaves behind several nieces and nephews along with a host of extended family and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 6, 2021, at the Evans Funeral Home Chapel in Chaomanville, WV, with Rev. Junior Collins officiating.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Saturday also at the funeral home.

Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens at Godby, WV.

Pallbearers will be: John Lambert, Buddie Blevins, Donald Stone, Shawn Stone, Dominic Stone, and Shelton Stone. Honorary pallbearers will be: Buddie Stone, Donald Stone, Chris Coats, and John Jeffery.

Heaven will never welcome a sweeter momma.
