Madgelene “Madge” Mullins, 85, of Chapmanville, WV, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December 14, 2022, leaving from St. Mary’s Medical Center at Huntington, WV.
Born April 7, 1937, at Harts, WV, she was the daughter of the late Carlos and Ina Conley Tomblin.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ira “John” Mullins; and six siblings, Opie Tomblin, Hedy Adkins, Kenneth Tomblin, Arthur Tomblin, Mildred Dalton, and Odie Tomblin.
Madge was a devoted and faithful mother. She enjoyed many things in life, including gardening and tending to her flowers, traveling, and singing with her siblings. She was a devout Christian and was also very devoted to her church. She will be long remembered for her kindness and devotion to her family and others.
Those left to cherish her memory are her four children, Teddy (Nina) Mullins of Chapmanville, WV, Nadine (Roger) Sloan of Mason, OH, Anita Rae Mullins of Sandusky, OH, and Ira Neal (Stephanie) Mullins of Iowa; her grandchildren, Nathan Mullins, Amanda Anderson, Chad Mullins, Shannon Starcher, Dylan Richards, Adam Osborne, and Ethan Mullins; numerous great-grandchildren whom she adored; three sisters, JoAnn McCloud, Geraldine Wright, and Sandra Kirk. Madge also leaves behind her companion, sweetheart, and best friend, Kenneth Robinson, along with many nieces and nephews and a host of extended family and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Monday, December 19, 2022, at the Evans Funeral Home Chapel at Chapmanville, WV, with Pastor Steve Kirk officiating.
Visitation will be held two hours prior to services Monday at the funeral home.
Madge will be laid to rest in the Tomblin Cemetery at Harts, WV.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Evans Funeral Home & Cremation Services at Chapmanville, WV.
