Loredith May Dingess, 76, of Chapmanville, WV, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 13, 2022, leaving from Logan Regional Medical Center at Logan, WV.
Born June 4, 1945, at Logan, WV, she was the daughter of the late Hubble Wilbur and America Margaret Qualls Zabrowsky.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Woodrow Dingess; one son, Ralph Dwayne Dingess, and her mother-in-law, Carmel Barker Dingess.
Mrs. Dingess was a Teacher’s Aid for the Logan County Board of Education for 28 years. She was a devout Christian and a member of the Chapmanville United Baptist Church. A loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, she was very devoted to her family. In her spare time, she enjoyed watching soap operas, and she loved watching her grandbabies play ball.
Those left to cherish her memory are one daughter, Sandra Joyce (John) Adams; one son, James Alvin Dingess; two grandchildren, Sandra Nicole (Josh) Farley and Courtney Marie McKinney; her great-grandchildren, Addison Nicole Farley, Jonathan Ryan Farley, Korilynn Isebella Constant, Oakleigh Abagail McKinney, and Owen Michael Lee McKinney. Additionally, Loredith leaves behind a host of extended family and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 16, 2022, at the Evans Funeral Home Chapel at Chapmanville, WV, with Rev. D.J. Scarberry officiating.
Burial will follow in Barker Cemetery at Garrett Fork, Chapmanville, WV. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Friday, April 15, 2022, at Evans Funeral Home at Chapmanville, WV.
