Lisa Ann Brumfield Obituary

On June 25, 2023, Lisa Ann Brumfield, beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, embarked on her next adventure. Born on February 4, 1965, in Logan, West Virginia, Lisa was a force to be reckoned with from the beginning. She graduated from Harts High School and went on to graduate from Marshall University, proving she was both brains and beauty.

Lisa was a fighter and a breast cancer survivor who never let any illness dim her spirit. Her humor, although questionable at times, brought joy to those around her. Lisa loved to cook, the kind of recipes that live on and thankfully will by those left to cherish her memory- her daughters, Kaitlyn (Cody) Moore-Hinkle, and Kenzi (Dillon) McFann, who certainly had her on speed dial whenever they were in the kitchen.

While Kenzi was her baby and certainly her favorite (everyone knows it), Kaitlyn was always willing to go to the ends of the Earth for her mama, proving love knows no bounds. While she loved being a mother, the loves of her life called her “Nana.” Lisa was blessed with five grandchildren: Kenzly Ann, Kyla Michelle, Brogan Albert (Hinkle), and Amzee Mia and Oaklee Masyn (McFann).

Although Lisa’s parents, Garnet and Howard, preceded her in death, she carried on her their legacy of love and loyalty, and we find peace knowing they are reunited at last.

Lisa leaves behind one brother, six special sisters, a host of nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends.

She will be deeply missed by all who loved her, but her spirit will live on in the countless lives she touched.

Please join us in celebrating her life at Evans Funeral Home in Chapmanville, West Virginia, on Thursday, June 29, 2023, from 6 PM to 8 PM, where a service will begin at 7 PM with Rev. Dave Lucas officiating.

“You’re more precious than gold.”
