Linda Sue Lewis Obituary

 

Linda Sue Lewis, 82, of Logan, WV, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, March 6, 2026, leaving from Boone Memorial Hospital in Madison, WV.


She was born on January 28, 1944, in Logan, WV, a daughter of the late Elvin and Madgie Stollings Smith.


In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Patrick; son, Bill Lewis; her siblings, Elwood Smith, Hurston Smith, Bobby Smith, Virginia Taylor, Dixie Sturgill, Patty Smith, Donny Smith, Tommy Smith, and Junior Smith.


Linda was a member of Rocky Hill Freewill Baptist Church. Hearing her sing was a blessing and she touched the lives of many.


She is survived by her children, Michael Lewis (Sherry) of Port St. Lucie, Florida, Pete Lewis (Cathy) of Chapmanville, and Connie Maynard (Shawn) of Bedford, Virginia; her grandchildren, Dakota Lewis, Courtney Woody, Dustin Lewis, Cassidy Lewis, Corey Maynard, and Cody Maynard; her great-grandchildren, Lincoln Woody, Jonah Woody, Lainey Lewis, and Dallas Lewis; and her sister, Wanda Faye Foley. Additionally, she leaves behind several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.


We would like to thank the staff at Boone Memorial Hospital for their outstanding care and compassion during her stay there.


Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, March 14, 2026, at Evans Funeral Home & Cremation Services with Pastor Jeff Fleming and Terry Elkins officiating.


Visitation will be held two hours prior to services Saturday at the funeral home.


To honor Linda’s wishes, she will be cremated following the services.


Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Evans Funeral Home & Cremation Services at Chapmanville, WV.
