Linda Marie Collier, 77, of Chapmanville, WV, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 10, 2026, leaving from Hubbard Hospice House in Charleston, WV, surrounded by family.

She was born December 22, 1948, at Logan, WV, a daughter of the late Charles Winford Elkins and Eunice Workman Elkins.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby J. Collier; one son, Robbie Collier; one brother, Clarence Elkins; one brother-in-law, Doug Butcher; one sister-in-law, Helen Elkins; one nephew, Mike Elkins; and her son-in-law, Billy Smith.

Linda dedicated her life to caring for others, serving selflessly as a caregiver. A devout Christian, she was a longtime member of the Rocky Hill Freewill Baptist Church. Her unwavering dedication to her church family was evident in all her actions and her earnest desire to serve and uplift those around her. At home, Linda's heart was fullest when surrounded by her cherished family, especially her two beautiful granddaughters. Her love extended to the smallest members of her household, caring for her beloved canine companion, Ginger. Linda could often be found taking care of her flower gardens. Her gentle hands and warm smile were a comfort to many, and the legacy of her compassion will be felt for generations.

Those left to cherish her memory are one son, Mark (Angela) Collier of Chapmanville, WV; one daughter, Sandra Collier Smith of Logan, WV; two granddaughters, Olivia and Abigail Collier both of Chapmanville, WV; her siblings, David (Judy) Elkins of Justice Addition, Terry (Karen) Elkins, and Mary Butcher both of Chapmanville, WV. Additionally, Linda leaves behind many nieces and nephews along with many close friends and family.

The family would like to thank Coalfield Health, Dr. Bowen, CAMC, LRMC, Hubbard Hospice, and all others who helped with Linda’s care.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. Friday, February 13, 2026, at Evans Funeral Home & Cremation Services at Chapmanville, WV.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, February 14, 2026, at Evans Funeral Home & Cremation Services at Chapmanville, WV, with Pastors Scotty Dingess and Lonnie Lee Berry officiating.

Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens at Chapmanville, WV. Serving as pallbearers will be Dr. James Paugh II, Brent Elkins, Alan Browning, Joey McDonough, Sherman Jones Jr., Brian Bledsoe, Josh Doddrill, and Clay Doddrill. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Daryl Lewis, Anthony Toppings, and Mike Farris.
