Linda Kay Messer, 74, of Danville, WV, entered into her heavenly home peacefully with her loved ones by her side on Tuesday, May 7, 2025, at CAMC Memorial Hospital at Charleston, WV.

Born May 4, 1951, at Charleston, WV, she was a daughter of the late Julia Sybial Welch.

In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bob Messer; one son, Junior Santonia; two sisters, Doris and Betty Welch; and two brothers, Darrell and Jamie Welch.

Linda was a loving mother and grandmother.

She is survived by her baby boy, Scott Messer; daughter, Kimberly Santonia; and son, Vince Santonia. She was a proud grandmother to 10 grandchildren, Christopher Santonia, who was her absolute best friend, Savannah Dalton, Cody Santonia, Tommy Santonia, Daniel Burnette, Austin Holstein, Ethan Santonia, Peyton Santonia, Alyssa Santonia, and Scarlett Mohamed. She was also a proud great-grandmother to four precious babies, Trenton Santonia, Bryson Santonia (her little man), Everlee Dalton, and Gabriel Burnette. Additionally, Linda leaves behind a host of extended family and friends.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the staff at CAMC Memorial Hospital for the care Linda received in her final days along with the compassion we received during that time. We would also like to thank Evans Funeral Home & Cremation Services for assisting with her services.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, May 22, 2025, at Evans Funeral Home & Cremation Services at Chapmanville, WV.

Burial will follow in the Santonia Cemetery at Prenter, WV. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. Thursday, May 22, 2025, at Evans Funeral Home & Cremation Services.
