Larry Edward Beckett, 76, of Mitchell Heights, gained his heavenly reward on Friday, April 17, 2026, leaving from his home after a short illness.

He was born November 15, 1949, in Paintsville, KY, a son of the late Don and Evelyn Childers Beckett.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his parents-in-law, Frank and Garnet Hensley; one brother-in-law, Carl Curry; one sister-in-law, Eunice Beckett; and one niece, Amy Beckett.

Larry was a 1967 graduate of Chapmanville High School and a proud E-5 Army Vietnam Veteran, serving his country proudly. He was a member of Maryetta United Baptist Church.

Those left to cherish his memory are the love of his life, Patty Hensley Beckett; one son, Allen (Jennifer) Beckett; two daughters, Leslie (Jim) Honaker and Becky (Kevin) Moore; his grandchildren, Caitlin, Jeremy, Jamie, Mike, Ethan, Landon, his “Hunsey Bunsey” Karleigh, Kaitlyn, and Kenzi; one great-granddaughter, Emma, and Baby Moore on the way; one brother, Roger Beckett; and one sister, Donyia Mullins. Additionally, Larry leaves behind many nieces and nephews along with a host of extended family and friends. 

Per Larry’s wishes, a private funeral service will be held at Highland Memory Gardens Mausoleum at 12:00 P.M. Wednesday, April 22, 2026, with Pastor Lonnie Gore, Jr., Elder Barney Goins, and Elder Drew Bledsoe officiating. Military Honors will be observed. Entombment will follow all services.
